II. LOAD CHECKING PROGRAM <br />The key element of the hazardous waste exclusion program is the <br />load checking program which is ongoing rather than periodic. <br />This program has been initiated at the site and involves <br />screening for the unacceptable wastes listed below. <br />Wastes which are not accepted at the Lovelace Road Transfer <br />Station are the following common classifications: <br />0 Chemicals or chemical sludges which are toxic, corrosive, an <br />irritant, or a strong sensitizer. <br />' Drugs. <br />0 Infectious wastes. <br />* Radioactive wastes. <br />' Flammables or explosives. <br />0 Free liquids or liquid residues in containers in which the <br />containers are greater than five gallons in volume. <br />0 Oil, batteries, or fuel wastes. <br />* Pesticides or insecticides (properly neutralized and rinsed <br />containers,are allowed). <br />Bag house or air scrubber wastes. <br />0 Asbestos wastes. <br />0 Tank cleaning sludges or sediments. <br />0 Contaminated soil or sand. <br />The key element in the load checking program involves assigning <br />
