The LEA recommends that these minor changes listed below be <br /> incorporated into the new modified permit: <br /> 1 . Hours of operati-on! <br /> Daily - 6 : 00 A.M . - 5 - 00 P.M . commerciz-:tl haulers <br /> Daily - 8 : 00 A.M. - 5 . 00 P.M. general public <br /> 2 . The portable toilets have been replaced with a <br /> permanent restroom on a septic tank system. <br /> 3 . Installation of a computerized scale system. <br /> 4 . Implementation of a hazardous waste exclusion program. <br /> 5 . Implementation of vehicle tarping program. <br /> 6 . Types of waste received : <br /> a . Paper products (added) <br /> b. Glass (added) <br /> C . Metals (added) <br /> d. Garden Refuse (added) <br /> e . Wood waste (added) <br /> f. Plastics (added) <br /> g . Industrial Refuse (added) <br /> h. Used Oil & Batteries (added) <br /> 7 . Use of a backhoe above the dumping pit to spread and <br /> compact refuse inside the transfer trailers . <br /> 8 . Prohibitions : <br /> a . Disposal of liquid waste/slurries (added) <br /> b. Septic tank pumping and sewage sludge (added) <br /> 9 . The existing solid waste facility permit authorizes an <br /> "average of 500 tons of wastes received daily" . A <br /> provision within the 1977 Report of Station grants an <br /> allocation of 700 tons per day for the calendar year of <br /> 1987 . With this 5-year permit review it is appropriate <br /> to approve a daily peak load of 700 tons in the next <br /> solid waste facility permit . <br /> 10 . A hazardous waste storage locker has been installed in <br /> case of an emergency. Under no circumstances will <br /> hazardous wastes be stored longer than 90 days . <br /> 11 . Several transfer truck loads daily are hauled to the <br /> Stanislaus County Incineration Plant in Crows Landing. <br /> This is a temporary arrangement and transfer truck may <br /> be halted at anytime . <br />
