4 `
FUTURE PLANS
1 . An unused area of approximately 150ft by 150ft in the
northwest corner of the site will be developed as a
recycling area. This area will be fenced, paved, and sloped
to a drain that will discharge to the station' s storm,
drainage pond. Recyclable material will be diverted to this
area where it will be sorted and placed in roll-off boxes.
Wood waste will be stockpiled to accumulate quantities for
economical processing.
2 . The station will purchase several roll-off boxes and a truck
to transport the boxes of recyclable materials to market .
3 . Used oil and batteries are to be accepted at the station and
recycled. A plan of operation must be submitted to the LEA
before the handling of used oil and batteries are approved.
The time table for these plans will occur within the next 2
years . It is the position of the owner/operator that these
future plans be acknowledged so they may be implemented without
revising the permit.
These future plans should not produce a significant change,
however, LEA reserves the right to make a final decision when
more information is available. The LEA does hereby acknowledge
these future plans and will incorporate them into the permit .
"In order to avoid the need to revise a permit for each minor
change in operation, the conditions should be drafted to
accommodate fluctuations without rewiring a permit revision, so
long as such changes do not necessitate additional measures to
control their environmental effects . " (Section 13208)
Please submit an application for a modified permit . Enclosed is
a state solid waste facility application.
Sincerely,
RonVa inoti, Director
Environmental Health Division
RLV/EP:nd
CC., Martha Vazquez, California Waste Management Board
enc.
