I did not observe a vector problem during this
inspection.
14 CCR 17536 Noise Control
Operating noise could be heard at the site perimeter but is unlikely
to create a health hazard to persons using the station.
14 CCR 17537 Odor Control
No offensive odors were detected at site boundaries.
14 CCR 17546 General (Equipment)
Observations made during the inspection indicated that the operator
had provided sufficient equipment of the type and capacity necessary
to meet all applicable State Minimum Standards.
14 CCR 17547 Standby Equipment
The operator maintains and performs minor equipment repairs on site.
Extensive repair work is conducted at the County repair shop in
Stockton. In the event of equipment failure, standby equipment is
furnished by the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works.
Rental equipment is also available in the Stockton area if needed.
14 CCR 17548 Transfer Vehicles
All transfer vehicles observed on the day of the inspection were
covered and constructed of durable and easily cleaned materials. As
each vehicle pulled out of the loading pit, waste was swept from the
edge and into the vehicle before closing the cover screens. Each
vehicle ' s tractor was washed before the rig left the station.
Mr . Belcher informed me that the County has eight transfer vehicles,
but that generally only five or six are needed. The County will use
the additional trailers on days of "peak loading" ( 700tpd) .
14 CCR 17549 Inspection of Equipment
Station equipment was available for inspection.
Waste Management Specialist
