Construction &Demolition/Inert Debris Facility Report
Tracy Materia/Recovery Facility and Transfer Station
30703 S. MacArthur Drive, Tracy, California 95377
® The operator maintains several hydrants disbursed throughout the facility, as part
of the onsite water supply system which includes a 150,000 gallon water tank
(fed by onsite wells) and pressurization equipment. Hoses, also used onsite for
dust suppression purposes, are available to suppress small fires, should they
occur. Process water used for dust or fire control or other operational
requirements, and will be minimized only to what is necessary. Surface water
runoff, including all process water, will be directed to a onsite retention basin by
use of grading design and drainage ditches, where it will be properly treated, if
necessary, to eliminate potential environmental impacts.
Cleaning [14 CCR 17407.2]
The facility will be maintained regularly by site personnel. A daily site walk will be
conducted by facility personnel to identify areas of the entrance, site and
buildings in need of cleaning or repair. Loose materials and litter will be removed
daily from operations areas. The access area will be policed daily to prevent the
offsite migration of waste materials; any illegal dumping in the immediate area
along MacArthur Drive will be cleaned up by site personnel. The facility uses 40-
cubic-yard roll-off boxes to storage reject materials and on-site litter and residues
that result from site maintenance. The entrance area of the facility will be
routinely cleaned by a street sweeper to prevent offsite tracking of sediment.
Drainage Control [14 CCR 17407.3]
The facility operates on asphalt concrete or concrete pad that facilitates control of
onsite drainage to and prevent the offsite migration of contact water and erosion.
Surface water runoff is directed to an onsite retention basin by use of grading
design, drain pipes, and drainage swales. Drainage swales have been designed
and installed to prevent erosion and promote safe operations and access to the
facility.
Process water will be used for dust or fire control or other operational
requirements, and will be minimized only to what is necessary.
Dust Control [14 CCR 17407.4]
The operator maintains several hydrants disbursed throughout the facility, as part
of the onsite water supply system which includes a 150,000 gallon water tank
(fed by onsite wells) and pressurization equipment. Manual watering of materials
is done to control dust as needed. The watering is done using handheld hoses.
The material is not sprayed so much as to generate runoff from the debris piles.
Portable crushing or grinding equipment used on site is equipped with water
sprays to control dust during processing. Load checking activity will prevent
hazardous materials from being processed by crushing or grinding equipment.
Processing operations and loading or unloading of trucks will be monitored
17 170.18 CDI FacReport 05081313
