Finding:. Changes or alterations have been required in, or,incorporated into, the project which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect as identified in the Final EIR. Statement of'Fact: This impact will be reduced by the following: • Seismic design shall be in accordance with the Uniform Building Code (Seismic Zone 4), as specified in the project geotechnical report contained in Appendix F of the Final EIR. C.2 Potentially Significant Impact: Excavated and fill slopes at therp oposed project site could potentially fail, causing iniury, damage to facilities. or buryinq solid waste material. Findjn Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect as identified in the Final EIR. Statement of Fact: This impact will be reduced by the following: • All new cuts and fills shall be consistent with the geotechnical recommendations contained in Appendix F of the Final EIR. In areas where slopes are steeper than 2:1,-the following mitigation measure shall be implemented: regrade slopes to 2:1 or flatter, or set back all improvements at least 30 feet from the top and bottom of slopes, or erect landslide debris barriers. C.3. Potentially Significant Impact: Existing surface soils are inadequate to support foundations for the proposed project facilities.
