Cleaning <br /> Describe procedures for ensuring that all loose materials and litter will be <br /> cleaned up daily or on a schedule approved by the LEA. <br /> Compost Facility staff will police the site on a daily basis to remove any windblown litter. <br /> The processing area, including the interior of the tub grinder, will be cleaned daily at the <br /> end of each shift. <br /> General cleaning of the RRF building and outdoor operations and storage areas is accom- <br /> plished by permanent employee duty assignments with daily inspections to assure <br /> compliance. <br /> Loose materials and litter cleanup is accomplished by permanent employee duty assign- <br /> ments with daily inspections to assure compliance. <br /> E. Processing Operations <br /> 1. Development Stages <br /> P g <br /> Provide a description of the sequence of development stages of the composting site <br /> operation giving tentative implementation schedules for development and usage. <br /> This is an overall site development plan, covering identification and timing of in- <br /> dividual phases of site development. <br /> The Compost Facility will be developed dependent on availability of suitable compostable <br /> materials and equipment capability. The amount of material that will be processed depends <br /> potential composting technologies. Forward has designed the Compost Facility with the <br /> flexibility to expand its processing capability as incoming tonnages increase. Exhibit 2 <br /> shows the site development areas. Project development stages are also discussed in Sec- <br /> tion H.A.11. <br /> 2. Type of Operations <br /> Include the type of operation such as Windrow, static pile, enclosed vessel etc., <br /> and describe a typical operation cycle. Issues .which should be addressed <br /> include the amount of waste received (daily, weekly or monthly), frequency of <br /> irrigation, aeration, turning, Windrow pile size, etc. <br /> The Compost Facility will use either the Windrow composting method turned by front-end <br /> loaders or Windrow machine turners, aerated static piles, a combination of Windrows/static <br /> piles, or enclosed agitated beds. The facility operations are further described in the fol- <br /> lowing sections.
