Wilson Way
Stockton, California
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed
Quarterly Report — First Quarter 2005 (QR), dated 02 June 2005, prepared on
your behalf by Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE)for the above referenced
site.
The QR reports that since initiation of the interim pump and treat system for
impacted groundwater in November 2004, approximately 116,640 gallons of
water had been treated, removing approximately 58 pounds of petroleum
hydrocarbon contaminants. Since initiation of the interim soil vapor extraction
(SVE) system in August 2004, approximately 13,876 pounds of petroleum
hydrocarbon contaminants have been removed from impacted soil.
Figure 3 shows the inferred groundwater flow direction to be toward the
southeast in the first zone of groundwater, while Figure 4 shows groundwater in
the second zone to be migrating toward the more usual east-northeast. Figures
5, 6, 7 and 8 show the distribution of contaminant total petroleum hydrocarbons
as gasoline (TPH-g) and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) in the first and second
groundwater zones on both your site and the 102 S. Wilson Way site. Uncertainty
regarding the lateral extent of your plume toward the north, east and sometimes
southeast, and the connection of your plume with the plume on the 102 S. Wilson
Way site is indicated by query marks on the figures.
The QR contained recommendations from your consultant AGE:
• Continued quarterly monitoring and sampling of wells VW-1 (B and C),
VW-2, VW-3A, MW-2 (A-E) and MW-7 (A-E);
• Conduct quarterly monitoring events concurrently with those at the 102
and 130 S. Wilson Way sites;
• Quarterly monitoring, but semi-annual sampling of monitoring wells MW-1
through MW-5; and
• Adding wells VW-1C, VW-2A, and VW-3A to the interim pump and treat
groundwater remediation system due to the intensely impacted
groundwater currently monitored by these wells.
