South , Southwest and I North areas of the building 8 EVACUATION PLAN If a fire , explosion , or hazardous release occurs , evacuation may be necessary . The Emergency Coordinator will decide whether an evacuation is necessary . The Site ' s PA system will be used to announce an evacuation to all personnel . The fire alarm pull box can also be used to initiate an evacuation . Evacuation routes are shown on Figure 2 . An emergency exit is located south of the HHMA CSA . Additional exits are located around the perimeter of the building . During an emergency , use the nearest exit . If blocked , utilize the next closest exit . Upon evacuating , associates should report to one of the three designated evacuation meeting areas . The meeting area closest to the HHMA CSA is located at the south , outside the building . The other meeting areas are located on the north and northeast sides . A headcount will be performed by the General Manager or senior person in charge within each group . If it is necessary for personnel to leave the Site , they must notify the person in charge . If the meeting area must be vacated , it will be moved upwind of the incident . The exact location will be communicated by the Emergency Coordinator, or alternate , via cell phone . 9 EMERGENCY PROCEDURES The Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan will be implemented under the following conditions : • A fire involving hazardous waste • An explosion involving hazardous waste • A release or spill involving a reportable quantity ( RQ ) of hazardous waste Upon discovery , spills or releases that do not exceed an RQ will be cleaned up and properly managed , but will not require implementation of the hazardous waste contingency plan . The RQs for the potential hazardous wastes are identified in 40 CFR Part 302 , Table 302 . 4 . The Emergency Coordinator will have the discretion to implement the Plan based on the conditions of an emergency situation . The provisions of the Plan must be carried out immediately whenever there is a fire , explosion , or release of hazardous waste or hazardous waste constituents that could threaten human health or the environment .
