tel.
sF.
•r=
the sampler. Soil samples selected for chemical analysis will include the samples taken from
just above the ground water surface and the samples collected from each boring with the
highest HNU reading.
Samples collected for chemical analyses will be promptly sealed with teflon tape.
Samples will then be labeled and promptly placed in iced storage for transport to the
analytical laboratory for testing. Chain-of-Custody records will be initiated by the sampler
and will accompany the samples to the laboratory. Copies of these records will be presented
in the final Report.
All drill cuttings generated during drilling will be placed in 55 gallon drums approved
for use by the Department of Transportation. The drums will be properly labeled and will
be left at the site approximately (90) days before disposal.
MONITORING WELL CONSTRUCTION
The monitoring wells will be constructed with thread jointed 4-inch inner diameter
schedule 40 PVC casing. No chemical cements, glues, or solvents will be used in well
construction. The screened portion of the wells will consist of factory-p:rforated 0.010-inch
slotted casing (screen). Should unconfined aquifer conditions exist then screen will be
installed from the total depth of the well to approximately 5 feet above encountered ground
water to allow for fluctuation of ground water levels.
6
