Weber Ave., Third Floor
P.O. Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201-0388
Subject: Knowles/Roek Property, 102 South Wilson Way, Stockton, CA
Extension Request for Workplan Submittal
Dear Mr. Rowe:
On May 6, 1998 you approved, with conditions, our recommendations for 8260 analysis. One
of the conditions was that a Workplan for the installation of replacement monitoring wells be
submitted to your office by June 15. This request was based on the observation that
groundwater levels have risen above the screened intervals in several of the existing monitoring
wells.
As you are aware, the responsible party has implemented and continues to pursue an aggressive
(and costly) program of remediation at the site. Funding is strained. In addition, the
cooperation of contributing parties adjacent to the site has not been secured.
In view of this, we respectfully request an extension of the submittal deadline to September 15,
1998. We also request a meeting with yourself, Margaret Lagorio, and Pat Riddle to discuss
the case.
Please contact me so we can schedule a meeting at your earliest convenience. If you have any
questions or comments call me anytime.
Respectfully,
Gro d ero Analysis, ,enc.
Gregory P. Stahl, RG 5023
CA Certified Hydrogeologist No. 264
cc: Mr. Patrick Riddle, Esq.
