The other monitoring wells contained high levels of these
constituents.
Included in the QMR was a request for a reduction of the ground water sampling and
reporting from quarterly to semi-annually, with' the sampling events occurringin the
second and fourth quarters-of each year.
The EHD understands the strain on responsible parties since the. Clean Up Fund (CUF)
has suspended your C. class eligibility and, after evaluating your site:specific conditions,
agrees that the ground water plume can be managed successfully with reduced
sampling as you requested. Your request is adequate and approved. Please begin your
new sampling and reporting schedule during the second quarter 2009. The QMR is to
be submitted to Geotracker no later than the„1.5th of the month following each quarter's
end.
Please be aware that the California Code of Regulations,!Title 23, Section 2652 requires
owners of contaminated underground storage tank sites to report quarterly on the status
of their site to the lead regulatory agency overseeing the investigation. A quarterly letter
report is to be. submitted to the EHD every quarter that the 'semi-annual' sampling
events do not occur. The report is to include an update on specific information and
results of all corrective action (investigation) which has occurred during the period. An
item that must be discussed in each quarterly report is future investigative actions and a
time schedule (dates) for implementing the actions.
2662 Wilson M&R reduc&PP SVE-IAS CML 3-27-09.doc
