They were analyzed for. • Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene and Xylene (BTEX) by EPA method 602 • Oxygenated fuel compounds (MTBE, ETBE, DIPS, TAME & TBA) by EPA method 8260M 4 i • Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA method 8015 2.0 SITE GEOLOGY The soils beneath the site primarily consisted of a fine to coarse grained, loose sand. A discrete plastic clay layer was encountered.in each borehole at approximately 14-feet bgs. Groundwater was encountered in the boreholes at approximately 18-feet bgs. . The boring logs that summarize information and observations made in the field are included in Appendix C. 3.0 ANALYTICAL RESULTS I Summarized below are the results of the soil and groundwater analysis. Soil Moderately high concentrations of Toluene, Ethyl Benzene, Xylene and TPH-G were detected in the 15-foot sample collected in GP-1. • OVM readings from GP-I showed elevated concentrations while the OVM concentrations in GP-2 showed very low concentrations. • Soil samples collected from the other three boreholes were non-detect. Groundwater • Elevated concentrations of BTEX and TPH-G were detected in the groundwater samples collected from GP-1, GP-2 and GP-4. • The groundwater sample collected in GP-3 was non-detect for all analytes. • None of the groundwater,samples tested positive. for any of the oxygenated fuel compounds. Table I in Appendix A is a full summary of,'the soil andgroundwater analytical data collected at the site. The lab data reports are attached in Appendix B.
