Backhaul Damage <br /> 5.1 Pallet Quantity Damage <br /> • Damaged product on Backhaul PO's with quantities listed below must be held aside for <br /> 14 days to allow the vendor to provide disposition instructions only if the product does <br /> not create or contribute to safety, sanitation and/or infestation hazards. <br /> Warehouse Type Quantity <br /> Grocery(dry) Lesser of 45 cases or 1 full Pallet <br /> Frozen Lesser of 45 cases or 1 full Pallet <br /> Perishable Lesser of 45 cases or 1 full Pallet <br /> GM/HBC 45 selection units or greater <br /> • A warehouse issue sheet is to be filled out and affixed to each pallet and the pallet sent to <br /> the 888 rack. A copy of the issue sheet will also be forwarded to Inventory Control who <br /> will maintain the copy on file as well as forwarding it to the Transportation OS&D <br /> Coordinator. (fax 603-358-3239) <br /> • The Transportation OS&D Coordinator will notify the vendor that this product is being <br /> held pending their disposition instructions and also informing them that additional <br /> handling and disposal fees may apply. In the event that a pallet that was held for review <br /> cannot be located, normal research and resolution practices will be employed. <br /> • If there has not been any communication from the vendor after 14 days, Inventory Control <br /> will have the pallet moved to OS&D with a tag stating`Backhaul Damage—Do Not <br /> Adjust". The pallet will then be salvaged in the normal warehouse salvage process. IC <br /> will then notify the Transportation OS&D Coordinator the product has been salvaged. <br /> 5.2 Less than Pallet Quantity Damage <br /> • Damage product on Backhaul PO's with quantities of less than the quantities listed above <br /> are to be moved to OS&D with a tag stating `Backhaul Damage—Do Not Adjust". The <br /> cases will then be salvaged in the normal warehouse salvage process. <br /> 6. Product Inspection: <br /> 6.1 Repack vs. Damage <br /> If multiple cases are damaged on a single UPC, product can be repackaged depending upon specific <br /> customer requirements to create new full cases. (See General Manager for building specific details) <br /> Repackaging should not mix Lot numbers or code dates. A generic box may be used for repackaging <br /> if the original box is soiled. If a generic box is used the following information should be listed on <br /> WICS Warehouse OS&D Procedures pg 12 of 16 <br />
