Box 447
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: Second Bi-Annual Inspection conducted at the Waste Water Treatment Plant
Mokelumne Manor- 8960 Walnut Grove Rd., Thornton, CA
Inspection Date: September 19, 2006
A second bi-annual inspection was conducted at the waste water treatment plant on
September 19, 2006. The waste water treatment plant currently services a total of eighty-
one (8 1) single-family dwellings. The plant operations and flow rates are monitored on a
weekly basis by staff personnel, readings are not documented for weekend flow rates. A
daily monitoring and reporting program is instituted. Flow rates are reported on a daily
basis and logged.
The plant receives waste water from two separate housing communities. Mokelumne
Manor services fifty (50) single-family dwellings, and Sartini services thirty-one (31)
single-family dwellings.
The following was observed and noted upon inspection of the facility this date:
1.) Mokelumne and Sartini waste water lines are gravity flowed and terminate at
a central distribution box prior to entering the Main Lift Station located southwest
of the housing facilities. The waste water is directed through a series of valves
and meter boxes and pumped into the Imhoff-Tank where further processing takes
place. Upon inspection minimal odors were detected and the waste water
appeared to be within normal range typical for treatment. Waste water is then
gravity fed to the ponds located west across the freeway.
2.) Upon inspection the facility plant yard appeared well maintained. Gates were
locked upon inspection. Signs were posted at north, south, east and west locations
to prevent unauthorized person(s) from illegal entry. Odors at the plant were
minimal and area(s) were clear of debris and weeds. Continue to maintain.
