ARCADIS
remain at the Site. Currently, a permanent chain-link fenced encloses the Site to
discourage trespassing.
Prior to 1988, Mr. Larry Gordon operated several chemical formulation and resale
businesses on the Site. General business practices associated with Mr. Gordon's on-site
business included the storage and/or repackaging of bulk chemicals purchased from
surplus actions (DTSC 2007).
According to site background information, on August 30, 1984, the DHS conducted a
site inspection to document if any chemical releases had occurred on the Site and to
prepare a bulk chemical inventory. The inspection concluded that Mr. Larry Gordon
was conducting business activities for which he did not hold the required permits
(DTSC 2007). Table B details the chemicals formerly stored on-site by Mr. Larry
Gordon.
Table B.
