When housekeeping and biological <br /> controls prove ineffective, or have provided limited <br /> effectiveness, chemicals (i.e., pesticides) may <br /> supplement the program. When chemicals are used, <br /> special care shall be taken to select and apply chemicals <br /> that are compatible with existing biological controls <br /> (i.e., those that do not kill parasitic wasps).
