Monitor for leaks, pressure build-up, gas generation, or ruptures in valves, pipes, or other equipment shut down in <br /> response to the incident. <br /> vii. Take all reasonable measures necessary to ensure that fires, explosions, and releases do not occur, recur, or spread <br /> to other hazardous materials at the facility. <br /> b. Before facility operations are resumed in areas of the facility affected by the incident, the emergency coordinator <br /> shall: <br /> i. Provide for proper storage and disposal of recovered waste, contaminated soil or surface water, or any other <br /> material that results from a explosion, fire, or release at the facility. <br /> ii. Ensure that no material that is incompatible with the released material is transferred, stored, or disposed of in <br /> areas of the facility affected by the incident until cleanup procedures are completed. <br /> iii. Ensure that all emergency equipment is cleaned, fit for its intended use, and available for use. <br /> iv. Notify the California Environmental Protection Agency's Department of Toxic Substances Control, the local <br /> CUPA, and the local fire department's hazardous materials program that the facility is in compliance with <br /> requirements b-i and b-ii, above. <br /> 9. Evacuation Plan [22 CCR §66265.52(f) and §66265.56] <br /> a. Purpose-to evacuate employees, contractors and other personnel to a safe location in an orderly manner in the event <br /> of an emergency. <br /> b. Notification-Call 911 <br /> c. Alarm— Shouts and/or hand signals will be used to communicate the alarm among site occupants. The alarm may be <br /> sounded by the nearest Pape Employee. <br /> �. Evacuation Signal—Facility staff will communicate the need to evacuate the building with shouts and/or hand <br /> signals and/or intercom. <br /> e. Exit Routes—Evacuees will use the nearest doorway to exit the building. <br /> f. Assembly — During an emergency, all evacuees will assemble at the southeast comer of the property, a location far <br /> enough from hazards or buildings to be safe, and all personnel will be accounted for by the emergency coordinator or <br /> his/her designee.All employees must be made aware of this location during initial and annual training. <br /> 10. Response to Fire,Explosion, Spill or Major Hazardous Material Emergency Incident <br /> a. FIRES- Sound the fire alarm. <br /> Advise that hazardous materials are involved. <br /> Call 911-Office of Emergency Services (OES) and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. <br /> Notify the Emergency Coordinators (1)John Bemadicou and(2) Randy Day <br /> Assist in implementing Evacuation Plan. <br /> b. DRAINAGE OR WATERWAY INCIDENTS-Notify the Emergency Coordinator. Refer to the response <br /> procedures outlined in Section 5 of the facility's Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plan. When there is a <br /> potential for hazardous material of any type to enter drainage ditches or waterways, call 911 and give full particulars, <br /> they will make notifications. <br /> c. NATURAL GAS OR PROPANE GAS LEAKS-Leaks may occur in large transmission lines, in the secondary <br /> mains, in the lines connecting mains to the building, or buildings. In the event of breaks or leaks, or smell of gas is <br /> reported, call 911.
