Shea Homes- Northern California Bergamo at Mountain House <br /> 4943.009.002 Phase I Environmental Site Assessment <br /> 2.3 HISTORICAL RECORD SOURCES <br /> The purpose of the historical record review is to develop a history of the previous uses or <br /> occupancies of the Property and surrounding area in order to identify those uses or occupancies <br /> that are likely to have led to recognized environmental conditions on the Property. <br /> 2.3.1 Historical Topographic Maps <br /> Historical USGS topographic maps were reviewed to determine if discernible changes in <br /> topography or improvements pertaining to the Property had been recorded. The following maps <br /> were provided to us through an EDR Historical Topographic Map Report, presented in <br /> Appendix C. <br /> TABLE 2.3.1-1: Historical Topographic Maps <br /> QUAD YEAR DESCRIPTION <br /> Property: The Property is vacant. Elevation is approximately 52 feet <br /> above msl in the south and approximately 45 feet msl in the <br /> north. <br /> Adjoining: Scattered structures are shown in the vicinity within a <br /> Bethany 1914, 1952, distance of 1 mile of the Property. Mountain House Creek is <br /> 1968 mapped south of the Property. Southern Pacific Railroad is <br /> mapped north of the Property. Unnamed roads are mapped <br /> in the areas nearby, and Byron Road is mapped north, <br /> adjacent to the Property in 1952. The Alameda and San <br /> Joaquin County boundaries are shown to the west as early <br /> as 1914. Old River is shown to the north of the Property. <br /> Property: The Property is unchanged. <br /> Adjoining: Scattered structures are shown in the vicinity within a <br /> 1916, 1940, distance of 1 mile of the Property. Roads are mapped in the <br /> Byron 1943 vicinity of the Property. Mountain House Creek is mapped <br /> south of the Property. Two pipelines are shown within <br /> approximately 1.5 miles of the Property. Old River is shown <br /> to the north of the Property with the first appearance of <br /> levees shown in 1940. <br /> Property: The Property is unchanged. <br /> Clifton Court 1968, 1978 Adjoining: Unnamed roads are mapped in the areas nearby, and Byron <br /> Forebay Road is mapped north. Other conditions are similar to those <br /> depicted on the previous map. <br /> Property: The Property is vacant, though is now within the Mountain <br /> House community. <br /> Clifton Court 2012 <br /> Forebay Adjoining: The Mountain House community is mapped, and residential <br /> streets are mapped around the Property. A fire department <br /> is mapped south of the Property, <br /> 2.3.2 Aerial Photographs <br /> The following aerial photographs, provided by EDR, were reviewed for information regarding past <br /> conditions and land use at the Property and in the immediate vicinity.
