WASTE STATION SUPPLIES <br />Every store in the State of California shall receive, prior its opening, materials to manage and store <br />hazardous waste for accumulation while waiting for disposal. The stores shall receive as part of a kit the <br />following items: <br />• Hazardous waste program policy (California Only) <br />• Spill cleanup station fixture <br />• Spill cleanup station contents, including <br />o Clean up materials <br />o Waste storage totes <br />• Documents to be used as part of this plan <br />The cleanup station contents will provide all items to properly handle, store, and dispose of hazardous <br />wastes. The following items shall be included with the spill station kit: <br />• Labels /replacement labels <br />• Storage totes (5) <br />• PPE (particulate mask, safety glasses, and nitrile gloves) <br />• Body fluid cleanup kit <br />• Absorbent materials (pads and powder) <br />• Tape (2 rolls) <br />• Brooms (3) <br />• Dustpan <br />• Plastic or zip -lock bags for leaking wastes <br />• Wet floor sign <br />• Cardboard box for used fluorescent bulb <br />WASTE LABELING <br />Each store shall receive five containers and one cardboard box for storing and accumulating hazardous <br />and universal wastes until they are ready for disposal. These containers must be clearly labeled in <br />accordance with their hazard classification prior to introducing waste into them. <br />Hazardous Waste <br />Each of the four hazardous waste containers shall be clearly labeled in accordance with the hazard <br />classification of the waste to be introduced. The waste containers shall be labeled with the following <br />hazard classifications. <br />• Flammable (Ignitable) <br />• Reactive <br />• Corrosive <br />• Toxic <br />5 <br />
