The proposed septic system will consist, at a minimum of a 1,200- <br /> gallon septic tank with two compartments and leach lines. The septic system will be <br /> connected to the three-bedroom residence planned to be developed on the property and <br /> will be utilized 365 days a year. <br /> 3.1. EXISTING ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> The septic system servicing the existing residential structure (house) consists of a 1,600- <br /> gallon septic tank with two compartments, one 40-foot long leach line, and one 3-foot <br /> wide by 25-foot deep seepage pit. There are likely additional leach lines and potentially <br /> another seepage pit associated with this septic system. However, no additional permits <br /> or information were on record at EHD. The septic tank, leach field, and seepage pit are <br /> located to the east of the structure on the property. The system is permitted for a four- <br /> bedroom house and is utilized 365 days/year (Appendix B). <br /> 3.2. SITE SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY <br /> One liquid waste septic permit is on file at the EHD for the property: <br /> • EHD Permit SR0062024 on record for 303 South Reid Avenue, Linden, California, <br /> for repair/addition; permit indicates that a septic tank was destroyed and replaced <br /> with a new 1,600-gallon P&L tank with two compartments, one 40-foot long leach <br /> line, and one 25-foot deep seepage pit in February 2011 (Appendix B). The new <br /> septic tank was installed approximately 89 feet away from the existing water well <br /> located in the western portion of the site. <br /> Except for EHD Permits SR0069282 and SR0074363 for well pump replacement and <br /> percolation testing, there are no other liquid waste permits on file for 303 South Reid <br /> Avenue and 21145 East Sara Lane, Linden, California. <br /> 3.3. ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK REPAIR HISTORY <br /> One septic permit for repair/addition is on record at EHD. EHD permit SR0062024 on <br /> record for 303 South Reid Avenue, Linden, California, indicates that the original septic <br /> tank was destroyed and replaced with a new 1,600-gallon tank; and one 40-foot long <br /> leach line and one 25-foot deep seepage pit were added in February 2011 (Appendix B). <br /> 3.4. EXISTING SEPTIC TANK USAGE IN THE GENERAL AREA <br /> Neighboring properties are vacant or zoned for agricultural and residential land use. <br /> Several liquid waste permits are on record at the EHD for installation of septic systems <br /> surrounding the subject property. <br />
