What flow
levels and durations were assumed for the Stanislaus over the operational
life of the ponds? Since the Army Corps of Engineers has estimated in their
New Melones Flood Control Manual that flows of up to 8,000 cfs maybe
experienced in the Stanislaus for extended periods , werecontingency plans
made for the Sewage Treatment Plant during such periods? If so, what are
these alternative operations plans? Were these matters fully digscussed
before the State Water. Resources Control Board when the discharge permit for
the ponds was issued?
It is likely that most or all of these questions could be answered through
study of the percolation pond planning documents, which I would be happy to
do if they can be supplied.
lf *a response to this letter will take more than 2 or 3 weeks, please advise
me of that fact. I ' d be happy to-answer any questions you might have regarding
this request -- just call. at the. phone number givenabove. Thank you for your
help
a
Sincerely,
Elizabe h S. Andrews
