B. The gutter grate shall be "T" style U.V. inhibited PVC or fiberglass grating rated for <br /> no less than 100 lbs per square inch. Grating shall be held in place with PVC rods <br /> placed 12" on center. Grating shall have no openings larger than Y2" and shall be <br /> held in place with fiberglass gutter clips and fasteners,requiring tools for removal. <br /> i <br /> C. Gutter configuration shall be manufactured as drawn on the plan. <br /> D. Voids between bond beam and new gutter shall be cleaned with completely water and <br /> filled with Non-shrink, waterproof grout. Grout shall be trimmed and toweled <br /> rough to accept the new plaster. Allow for no less than 3/8" space for plaster <br /> placement. <br /> E. Provide Deck-o-seal or equal mastic for the expansion joint interface at the back of the <br /> gutter body. Apply a fine coat of#30 sand while the mastic is still wet. <br /> PART IV. POOL PLUMBING WORK: <br /> A. General Scope of work: <br /> Contractor to provide and install below-grade plumbing as drawn on plans. <br /> Work to include gravity flow connection from the new gutter system transition <br /> flanges to the new gutter collection tank. Plumb from the tank to the existing <br /> recirculation pump. There are two collection transition connections, each with <br /> 6" flange connections. <br /> Install a tee in the pool return line with a control valve to split the return flow <br /> between the existing 6 wall inlets and the gutter return. <br /> (See Plan) <br /> B. Materials: <br /> 1. Pipe: Use PVC, Schedule 40: Type 1,normal impact, ASTM 1785 <br /> and CS-207-60,N.S.F. for socket welding or threaded applications. <br /> Color shall be white. PVC listing shall be NSF-PW potable water. <br /> 2. Pipe Fittings: Use PVC Socket type for Schedule 40 PVC piping systems: <br /> Type 1, grade 1, white. Socket type shall meet ASTM D-2467, Screwed: <br /> ASTM D2464. <br /> a) Flanges: PVC Schedule 80, 150 lb. ANSI, Spears or equal, Vanstone <br /> style only. <br /> b) Cement: Use medium set, gray 2711, by IPS Weld On or approved <br /> equal. <br /> 5 <br />
