Construction Quality Assurance( A) Plan Extension of Closure Cap <br /> Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill August 21,2008 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 1.1 Purpose <br /> The purpose of this Plan is to describe the construction quality assurance (CQA) <br /> procedures to be used by the CQA organization during the closure cap extension project <br /> at the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill. <br /> The CQA Plan is a guidance document that contains general and specific work element <br /> requirements for monitoring construction. General requirements include the <br /> organization and responsibilities of CQA personnel, documentation control, and <br /> reporting procedures. Specific work elements include the following: <br /> ♦ Clearing and Stripping <br /> ♦ Engineered Fill <br /> ♦ Liner Subgrade Preparation <br /> ♦ Vegetative Cover <br /> ♦ Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) <br /> The CQA organization will prepare a Final Construction Report(FCR)upon completion <br /> of construction. The FCR will include information generated through out the CQA <br /> program and will document the extent to which construction was performed in <br /> accordance with the contract documents and design. The CQA organization will be <br /> required to submit the FCR within one month of substantial completion of <br /> construction. <br /> 1.2 CQA Organization <br /> The CQA organization has the primary responsibility of implementing and managing <br /> the CQA program described in this Plan and will document to the appropriate <br /> regulatory agencies that construction of the facility was performed in compliance with <br /> the design and the contract documents.
