Health and Safety Plan, Subsurface Investigation <br />Potential New Court Site, Stockton, California <br />SH&E performance elements, and consulting with the SH&EP regarding any necessary changes to safety <br />requirements. Other responsibilities include: <br />Reading and becoming familiar with the HASP <br />Enforcing the HASP and other safety regulations <br />Ensuring that no work is performed which is not properly addressed in this HASP (or approved <br />supplemental guidance) <br />Maintaining the presence of at least one qualified first aid provider on site at all times <br />Contacting the SH&EP for guidance regarding any health and safety related matters. <br />The FM is required to have completed an 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Training Course in <br />accordance with 8 CCR §5192 (e)(4). <br />2.4 Site Safety Officer (Mr. Richard Burzinski) <br />The FM or designated alternate will serve as the SSO, and will be responsible for the execution of the <br />routine on-site duties for health and safety, with assistance and direction from the designated SH&EP. <br />The responsibilities of the SSO include: <br />• Conducting periodic safety reviews of the project site and project documentation <br />Performing and documenting daily site inspections to identify hazards and observe employees at <br />work <br />Stopping work, as required, to maintain personal and environmental health and safety <br />Determining emergency evacuation routes, establishing and posting local emergency telephone <br />numbers, and arranging emergency transportation <br />Ensuring that all site personnel and visitors have received the proper training and medical <br />clearance prior to entering the site <br />Establishing any necessary controlled work areas (as designated in this HASP or other SH&E <br />documentation) <br />Presenting tailgate safety meetings and maintaining attendance logs and records <br />Project 104290.19.01 5 Janualy 2009
