JSA 22: OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE (REMEDIATION SYSTEMS) <br /> <br />March 30, 2010 <br />Field staff must review job-specific work plan and coordinate with project manager to verify that all up-front logistics are completed prior to starting work including, but not limited to, <br />permitting, access agreements, and notification to required contacts (e.g. site managers, inspectors, clients, subcontractors, etc.). A tailgate safety meeting must be performed and <br />documented at the beginning of each workday. Wear <br />appropriate electrical resistant gloves. <br />Slip, trip and fall hazards. <br />Overhead hazards. <br />Exposure to pressurized <br />chemicals/air/gases. <br />Chemical exposure. <br />Vacuum and electrical <br />hazards. <br />Heat/cold stress. <br />Use appropriate LockoutfTagout precautions.. <br />Perform air monitoring as outlined in the site-specific Health and Safety <br />Plan, as necessary. <br />Have appropriate air purifying respirator with combination organic <br />vapor/P-100 cartridges within 3- 5 feet of work area, readily available. <br />Perform routine <br />maintenance. (e.g., Replace <br />air filters and belts, change <br />oil, etc.) <br />Wear reflective vest for traffic, steel toed <br />and shank shoes, hardhat, safety <br />glasses with side shields, and leather <br />gloves as necessary. Wear chemical <br />resistant suit as needed. Wear chemical <br />resistant suit as needed. Wear <br />appropriate chemical resistant gloves. <br />Back strain. <br />Traffic hazard. <br />Improper storage or <br />disposal. <br />If disposing through onsite <br />treatment system, damage <br />or injury from improper use <br />of equipment <br />Use proper equipment to transport waste containers (pumps, drum <br />dollies, etc.). <br />Have proper storage containment and labeling available onsite. <br />Place materials in isolated location away from traffic and other site <br />functions. <br />Label waste. <br />Coordinate proper disposal offsite (where applicable). <br />Review instructions for use of onsite treatment systems. <br />Paper copies are uncontrolled and are valid only at the time of printing.
