Mr. Geoff Rader, RWQCB <br />August 28, 2017 <br />Work Plan for Offsite Monitoring Well Installation Project No. 2 129-1 140-0 1 <br />1120 West Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA <br />Page 2 <br />Collect soil samples during the advancement of the well boring for lithologic <br />evaluation and chemical analyses. <br />Develop and sample well MW-13. <br />Stratus has prepared the following scope of work to accomplish the objectives described <br />above. The scope of work has been subdivided into tasks 1 through 3, as outlined below. <br />All work will be conducted under the direct supervision of a State of California <br />Registered Geologist or Engineer, and will be conducted in accordance with standards <br />established by the Tr-Regional Board document titled Appendix A-Recommendations <br />for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites (April 16, <br />2004), RWQCB, and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br />(SJCEHD) guidelines. A California-licensed C-57 drilling contractor will perform all <br />drilling and well construction activities. <br />Task 1: Pre-Field Activities <br />Following approval of this Work Plan by the RWQCB, the following activities will be <br />completed: <br />Secure an access agreement from the owner of the property north of the site. In <br />the event that an access agreement cannot be obtained, Stratus will request <br />permission from the City of Stockton to install the well in the sidewalk of the <br />north side of Hammer Lane, <br />Obtain a well installation permit from SJCEHD, <br />Retain and schedule a licensed C-57 drilling contractor, <br />Update the Health and Safety Plan for the site, <br />Mark the boring locations and contact Underground Service Alert to locate <br />underground utilities in the vicinity of the work site, and <br />Notify SJCEHD, the offsite property owner or the City of Stockton (as <br />appropriate), and the Knowles Family Trust of the scheduled field activities. <br />Task 2: Well Installation Activities <br />Task 2A: Soil Borings <br />A licensed well driller will advance soil boring MW-13 using a truck mounted or limited <br />access drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow stem augers, in the presence of a <br />Stratus Geologist.
