Plan Administrator Duties <br /> During an emergency, the Safety Manager(or designate) will ensure the following: <br /> • Activate the Emergency Action Plan (EAP). <br /> • Coordinate and communicate the French Camp location actions and current situation with <br /> emergency responders and act as liaison once they arrive and take control of the incident. <br /> • Advise when it is safe to return to the building and begin normal operations. <br /> Responsibilities of the Employees <br /> The success of this Emergency Action Plan is dependent upon employees knowing the <br /> procedures outlined within this plan and acting upon them in an appropriate manner. <br /> Before an emergency, employees shall: <br /> • Become familiar with the contents of this plan to include who to report emergencies to, the <br /> assigned evacuation routes for the facility, and the designated meeting locations. <br /> • Actively participate in emergency drills and treat them as if they are real. <br /> During an emergency: <br /> • Assist an Emergency Response Team member if asked. <br /> • Listen and wait for directions on how and when to evacuate the facility from emergency <br /> response team members, security, police, or fire personnel. <br /> • Report any emergencies immediately to your supervisor. <br /> • Follow the assigned evacuation route procedures to avoid crowding at the exits. <br /> • Report directly and immediately to your designated meeting location after evacuating the <br /> facility. <br /> • Never go back into the facility to retrieve personal belongings. <br /> Rescue and First Aid <br /> Rescue and first aid may be necessary during emergency situations. Circumstances calling for <br /> rescue and/or first aid include: <br /> • Employee Injury or Illness <br /> Professional emergency services responding to an emergency will help with and direct all rescue <br /> and medical duty assignments upon their arrival on site. <br /> The San Juaquin County UPA phone number is 209-468-3420. The San Juaquin General Hospital <br /> phone number is 209-468-6000. <br /> Training <br /> Our Plan Administrator (or designate) reviews the Emergency Action Plan at the following times <br /> with each employee covered by the plan: <br /> • Initially when the plan is developed. <br /> • Whenever a new employee is hired. <br /> • Whenever the employee is assigned a new job. <br /> • Whenever an employee's responsibilities and/or assigned tasks under the plan change. <br /> • Whenever new equipment, materials, or processes are introduced into the workplace. <br /> • Whenever the layout or design of the facility changes. <br /> Page 6 <br />
