EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT <br />The facility maintains an adequate supply of absorbent material, such as speedy -dry and oil <br />absorbent blankets, to contain any release of hazardous wastes. In addition the following <br />equipment is available for containment and cleanup. <br />• Shovels, brooms, etc. <br />• Fire extinguisher <br />n Types A, B, C are capable of extinguishing all types of fires including flammable liquids. <br />These extinguishers comply with National Fire Code Standards for portable fire <br />extinguisher, and they are inspected after each use or at least monthly. Records of <br />these inspections are kept. <br />• Telephone <br />c In house communication for emergencies. <br />• First aid supplies <br />c These supplies include bandages, antibacterial ointments, splints, local and topical <br />anesthetics and eyewash bottles and solution. These supplies are located at the first aid <br />station. <br />• Protective clothes: <br />o Clothing includes plastic aprons, rubber gloves, face shields, eyeglasses <br />• Emergency eyewash/shower station: <br />o This is located at the Chlorine tank are a the MBR <br />8. COORDINATION AGREEMENTS <br />The following arrangements to assist in response to emergency situations have been made: <br />• An agreement has been made with the chemical vendor for provide cleanup capabilities on a 24- <br />hour basis. <br />• Copies of the Contingency Plan have been given to the local police, fire department and <br />hazardous material team. These agencies have been to the site and have reviewed the <br />Contingency Plan and their respective roles. <br />9. EVACUATION PIAN <br />All emergencies require prompt and deliberate action. In the event of any major emergency, it will <br />be necessary to follow an established set of procedures. The rally points are designated on the <br />general site plan in Attachment 1. <br />10. REQUIRED REPORTS <br />As required, any emergency event (e.g. fire, explosion, etc.) that required implementing the <br />contingency plan will be reported in writing within the required number of days to the EPA Regional <br />10 <br />
