SCHEDUL's ltiw, <br /> OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS <br /> CAUTION: EMPLOYER SHOULD ALLOW ONLY AUTHORIZED <br /> AND TRAINED PERSONNEL TO OPERATE THIS <br /> COMPACTOR/STERILIZER <br /> Therefore this unit is equipped with a Key locking operating system. The Keys <br /> should be in the possession of only AUTHORIZED personnel . <br /> COMPACTOR <br /> 1 . No one should ever be permitted in the Charge Box or Load Chamber <br /> unless MAIN DISCONNECT switch has been turned OFF and Locked. <br /> Before starting be sure CHARGE BOX is clear. <br /> 2. Operator shall be certain that all individuals are clear before <br /> activating controls. <br /> After Receiving container has been emptied and returned, check to be <br /> sure Ratchets and Hooks are securely attached to Receiving container. <br /> 3. All access doors must be closed before operating compactor/ <br /> sterilizer. <br /> 4. TO OPERATE COMPACTOR: <br /> A. Place material to be compacted through sliding door and into <br /> charge chamber. NOT to exceed FILL TO LINE indicator or <br /> level with bottom of door opening. <br /> Close sliding door. <br /> B. Turn POWER KEY to ON as indicated by GREEN light on MAIN <br /> PANEL. <br /> C. Depress GREEN COMPACT Button located on compactor <br /> control station next to sliding load door, hold I to 2 <br /> seconds then release. <br /> D. Connect Ram moves forward until it reaches the end of stroke <br /> (activating limit switch) at which time it will <br /> automatically reverse direction and retract, fully retrac- <br /> ted it stops and shuts off (unless programmed for <br /> multicyle) . <br /> E. The Compactor is equipped with an automatic FULL light. <br /> This is actuated by hydraulic pressure. <br /> When the Compactor has filled the container to the point <br /> where the pressure required for compaction reaches the <br /> setting of this preset switch, the RED <br /> FULL light will come ON, the RAM will stop in the forward <br /> position and will operate in 1/2 cycle mode only. (i .e. , <br /> Compactor button must be pressed once to now retract RAM and <br /> once again to compact as RAM will continue to stop in the <br /> forward position until Container has been emptied.) <br />
