§ 3.2 Description of all past on-site potential and/or known above and/or below ground sources
of contamination identified on the property include: 1.) There is no record of there being
an above ground or underground permitted fuel storage tank(s) (ASTs/USTs) on the subject
property. 2.) There is an electrical transformer near the northwest corner of the property.
No oil leakage was observed from this transformer, as illustrated on the photographic
plate.
The predominate wind direction through the region is east-southeast. West-northwest, or
upgradient wind shed comes through the Altamont Pass and is illustrated on Page 30 of the
ERS document and does not affect the property.
Although DDT was banned in 1972, its presence in San Joaquin Valley soils is an
indication of its long half-life. It is extremely unlikely there are any concentrations of
DDT or its degradates in the property soils from farming operations that may have taken
place on the property many decades ago. Any minute residual pesticide concentrations are
inconsequential.
§ 3.3 Description of all current on-site potential and/or known above ground and below ground
sources of contamination identified at the project site are included in Section 3.2. No
sources of current aboveground contamination were observed, other than the referenced
non -hazardous items described in Section 5 of this report.
§ 3.4 Description of all past off-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources of
contamination identified in the area of the project site that could impact the site include:
Information conveyed by the ERS documents indicate no listings, with no likelihood of
impact to the property from a distant contaminated site. The GeoTracker document
illustrates one listing within 1,000 ft radius from the property, which has "completed - case
closed" designation.
Agricultural spray drift affecting the property from the nearest agricultural production land
is an extremely slight possibility, since agricultural production occurs 2,000 feet to the
northwest.
§ 3.5 Descriptions of all current off-site potential and/or known above and below ground
sources of contamination identified in the area of the project site include those referenced
in Sections 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4 above. Any contaminated sites can be considered "past" off-
site sources of contamination that are simultaneously "current" contaminated sources.
Chesney Consulting
