MURO <br />Asked Ryan 1) if they will be disposing of the tank's inner lining material and 2) to <br />clarify the photo of the spout with a pan underneath <br />Ryan replied the following: <br />* Current tank status: The tank is empty and no longer leaking as of 11/5/2020. <br />Any phosphoric acid release is contained within the concrete ring wall. <br />* He is not sure if the tank liner will be replaced or repaired. If replaced, it will be <br />disposed of. <br />*The drip pan under the leak detection port was placed to see if there was any <br />acid between the liner and the tank. They did not see any acid come out of that <br />port <br />*They will have meetings over the next couple of days to finalize the plan for <br />cleanup, repair, and any remediation. <br />11/12/2020 Discussed current complaint status with Elena Manzo (EHD) since I will be away MURO <br />for a few days. She requested that I send her what is pending for this complaint via <br />email. I sent Elena Manzo an email with status, pending items, and contact <br />information. <br />11/19/2020 Called Ryan Mock, 209-328-0083, tank has been offloaded and the tank is being MANZO <br />cleaned out right now before the liner can be inspected. Once the tank is clean, <br />the tank will be moved off the pad and they will begin on the remediation. <br />11/20/2020 Read status update by Elena Manzo (EHD) MURO <br />12/01/2020 Received response from Ryan Mock (Simplot). He reported that Simplot is still in <br />the process of cleaning the tank so it can safely be inspected. After the tank is <br />clean, it will be inspected and then moved off of its pad. Then they will assess the <br />pad will then be able to determine remediation. <br />I replied to acknowledge receipt of his response. <br />12/10/2020 Called Ryan Mock (Simplot) for status on the phosphoric acid tank. Ryan Mock <br />reported: They had a meeting on the tank today. They are still cleaning the tank; it <br />is a slow process. <br />MURO <br />MURO <br />12/18/2020 Sent email to Ryan Mock (Simplot) requesting status update. Asked if scheduling MURO <br />has begun for cleanup. Ryan Mock reported The tank is in the process of being <br />cleaned. The waste will be hazardous. Samples of waste were sent out for <br />analysis for Non-RCRA or RCRA determintion. Cleanup process will be time <br />consuming, but is in process. <br />12/30/2020 Emailed Ryan Mock (Simplot) at: Ryan.Mock@simplot.com for follow-up. Asked MURO <br />him to notify EHD in advance before backfilling the spill area so that we inspect the <br />cleanup. <br />01/07/2021 Emailed Ryan Mock (Simplot) at: Ryan.Mock@simplot.com. for status update. MURO <br />Ryan Mock reported on 01/08/21 that the tank cleaning is still in process. The soil <br />excavation will begin late next week if the tank cleaning is completed by then. <br />01/15/2021 Sent Ryan Roth an email requesting status update.
