1-3 <br />entrance to the RRF and proposed Compost Facility is located about approx imately 1,600 <br />feet sou t h of the mai n landfill entranoe, south of the South For l{. The two roads on either <br />side of the South For l( are easement maintenance roads. Current traffic f low is not impeded <br />during s ite operations. <br />1.2.2 Site Facilities/Features <br />These facilities/features apply to the site as a whole, inclusive of the Forward H=andfill, RRF, <br />and Compost Facility. <br />Sanitary Facilities. There are no on-site sewage disposal system ~ or leach lines. Portable <br />toilets are provided at the site and are serviced daily or as needed. Two portable toilets are <br />located adjacent to the landfill office. two are located at the RRF. two are in the <br />maintenance yard. and two are located near the working face. Hand washing facilities are <br />located in each portable toilet and an additional facility is located near the office trailer.+Re <br />sanitary facilities consist of a total of eight toi lets at the site. Two portable toilets are <br />located adjacent to the landfill office trailer, two are looated I#ithin the office trailer, two are <br />located at the RRF, one is in the maintenance yard at the landfill, and one is located on the <br />bi n storage pad at t he landfi l l. The h\'o portab le toilets adjacent to the landfill office and the <br />two toi lets inside the office tra il er are hand icap accessib l e. The locations /quantities of <br />portable toilets sanitary faoi lities will change with daily operations asaoo the site-1§ <br />developedmeRt. <br />Electricity. Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) provides primary electric service to the <br />site. Electric power is provided to the office trailers (except the employee t railer at the RRF ) <br />and on site pumping facilities. There is night/security lighting at the landfill and <br />RRF/Composting Facility entrances. <br />Communications. A+&+-The telecommunications provider deliversprovides telephone service <br />to the site. CompanyThe site offices and some key site personnel havevehio les operat ions <br />are equipped with phones. The site has five telephone lines for business and emergency <br />use. In addition. each employee is assigned a cell phone with H wo-way radio s capability for <br />emergency and work communication . and cell phones are also provided to personnel. <br />Right-of-Way. The eastern property line is also the Austin Road centerline; the Austin Road <br />right-of-way, owned by the County of San Joaquin, is approximately 60 feet wide. Thirty feet <br />of this right-of-way is within the Forward property. <br />Easement. A portion of the site area is consumed by creek easements. The South Fork of <br />South Littlejohn's Creek is located in the southern portion of the landfill and its easement <br />comprises approximately 10.8 acres. The North Fork of South Littlejohn's Creek was <br />relocated north of the landfill footprint. The easement relocation of the North Fork <br />comprisesa approximately 16.5 acres . The South Fork of South Littlejohn's Creek easement <br />is shown in Figure 2. <br />Water Wells. There are three agriculture water wells at the entire Fo rward <br />Landfill/RRF/Composting Facility site. The first well. located near the main entrance <br />facilityof the landfill was drilled to a depth of approximately 135 feet and groundwater <br />occurs at a depth of approximately 70 feet. The well was likely installed before the opening <br />of the landfill. having been previously used for agricultural purposes. It is pumped at a rate <br />of approximately 1,500 gallons per minute (gpml at a maximum frequency of approximately <br />27 times ffi--a-during the course of a typical day.
