Barriers to <br />unauthorized access included remote location, hills, perimeter <br />fences and a lockable gate at the entrance. <br />Section 17659 - Access Roads <br />Roads were smooth, paved and allowed good site access. No dust or <br />tracking problem was observed. <br />Section 17660 - Internal Roads <br />Internal roads were smooth, graveled and allowed good access to the <br />unloading area. <br />NOTE: This section also requires that internal roads shall be <br />"identified with suitable signing showing directions to the <br />operating area". <br />Section 17666 - Sanitary Facilities <br />Sanitary facilities consisting of two porta-potty toilets were <br />available onsite (one beside the gate house and one near the <br />working face). <br />Section 17667 - Water Supply <br />Drinking water for site personnel is available from city water <br />lines. Some workers bring their own water to the site. <br />Section 17668 - Communication Facilities <br />Telephone is available onsite. <br />887-3969. <br />Section 17669 - Lighting <br />The telephone number is (209) <br />Site operations were not conducted during hours of darkness. <br />Section 17670 - Personnel Health and Safety <br />I observed equipment operators wearing safety vests, safety <br />glasses, hard hats, ear plugs and safety boots; as required by the <br />LEA. <br />Wahte Management Specialist' <br />
