The operator must provide sufficient quantities of properly maintained <br /> fire suppression equipment so fires can be extinguished as quickly as <br /> possible. <br /> D. Provisions: <br /> 1 . The following violations must be corrected by the dates indicated: <br /> a. Confine all unloading operations to specific areas small enough <br /> to prevent materials from blowing onto adjacent property by <br /> May 1 , 1983. <br /> b. Finish the existing exposed slopes with a clean final cover that <br /> is neat and maintains a horizontal to vertical ratio not to exceed <br /> 1 3/4 to 1 by May 1 , 1983. <br /> c. All exposed refuse at the working face shall be covered with clean <br /> cover material that has been compacted to a minimum thickness of <br /> six (6) inches every 24 hours by April 15, 1983. <br /> d. Provide a 12 inch compacted layer of clean cover material over all <br /> exposed areas where no additional refuse will be deposited within <br /> 180 days by May 1 , 1983. <br /> e. Provide sufficient cover (2 ft or more) over all completed areas of <br /> the operation by May 1 , 1983. <br /> f. Institute a bird control program by April 15, 1983. <br /> g. Provide a portable litter fence at the active dumping area to control <br /> the litter by April 15, 1983. <br /> 2: This permit is subject to review by the enforcement agency, and may be <br /> suspended, revoked or modified at any time for sufficient cause. <br /> E. Monitoring Program: <br /> 1 . The ,foll;owing items shall be monitored by the operator of this facility or <br /> his agent. Records including, but not limited to these items, shall be <br /> kept and made available to the enforcement agency upon request: <br /> a. Quantity and types of wastes received at the site per day and per week. <br /> b. Quantity and types of wastes salvaged per month. <br /> c. Number of vehicles utilizing the site per day and per week. <br /> d. Area of site utilized. <br /> e. Maintain a log of special occurrences. <br /> f. A map of the area outlining and designating areas that have been filled <br /> with solid waste and proposed stages of development of the site. <br />
