0
COMMENT F
July 20, 1987
San Joaquin County Planning Dept.
1810 Hazelton Ave.'
Stockton, California 95200
Dear Sirs:
SAS JDA I° 41
PLW.I'V I,u LEFAR{ i► OT
I attended the planning commission meeting on July 16, 1987, and after hearing
the discussion of the EIR regarding the Traina property I realized the importance
of the opinions of all property owners in that area.
I own approximately 40 acres on the corner of Bates and Fairoaks Roads. I am
already surrounded on two sides by homes and when the Triana development, which
I fully support, is completed there will be homes on the third side of my property.
I am a widow and must rely on the help of my son-in-law to farm. Over the past
years we have been faced with many of the problems that arise with the growing
population of this area. Those being the inability to properly apply the necessary
chemicals to my crop, and in the increased liability involved for the property owner.
Since the EIR included all properties inside the Valpico, Chrisman, Linne and
Mac Arthur Roads, I would like to request that all acreage be included in the General F.1
Plan Amendment. I feel the entire area, in reality is already Rural Residential,
and not prime agricultural land. We only need the cooperation -of the San Joaquin
County Planning Commission to develop this area in a orderly manner, rather
than continue to rezone it piece -by -piece.
Sincerely,
Bernice Mancuso
7950 W.
