SU -87-24 OF LINDA LINDBERG
(C/O WONG ENGINEERS, INC.) (SUPERVISORIAL DISTRICT NO. 4)
IT IS RECOMMENDED:
That the Board of Supervisors:
Deny the appeal and uphold the Planning Commission's action to
approve, with conditions, Major Subdivision Application No.
SU -87-24 of Linda Lindberg.
REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION:
The Planning Commission heard this matter at its meeting of July
16, 1987. Mrs. Lindberg proposed a seven (7) lot rural residential
subdivision on the east side of Fine Road, south of Milton Road, in
the Peters Rural Residential Area. After considering all written
and oral testimony, the Commission approved the proposal with the
conditions listed in the staff report.
Attorney Howard Seligman, the applicant's counsel, spoke in favor
of the proposal. Mr. Seligman discussed the past history of the
property, the property's access, storm drainage, and the Local
Health District's requirements.
Chance Wong, the applicant's engineer, discussed drainage in the
area and the requirements for additional percolation tests.
Peter Vacco spoke in opposition to the proposal. Mr. Vacco
requested a landscaping buffer between his property and the project
site to decrease noise. Mr. Vacco also made the following points:
(1) He objected to the use of his family name for a proposed road.
(2) He objected to the possible future condemnation of his property
for access to the property site.
(3) He said that the ground water is suffering from overdraft and
that drainage is a problem in the area.
Tom Solari, Patrick Roebling, June Connors, and Alan Victor all
voiced their concerns about flooding and drainage problems in the
area.
BOS LETTER PAGP T
