<br /> <br />SP 39 <br /> <br />o. Conductors of various electrical systems with the same voltage <br />class that are run together in the same conduit or box shall have <br />unique insulation colors or tags. <br />p. Color code power conductors per voltage class and as shown on <br />plans or per code. <br /> <br />5. Metal Wireway and Cable Tray: <br />a. Factory fabricated sheet metal, complying with UL and NEMA, <br />Type‐1 unless otherwise indicated, and sized in accordance with <br />NFPA 70; UL Marked. <br />b. Utilized in dry interior locations only and shall meet the <br />requirements of installation with the specified electrical <br />equipment and wire method. <br />c. Wireways and gutters provided for routing cables overhead and <br />into enclosures shall contain no wire splices. <br />d. Manufacturer’s auxiliary gutters shall be factory installed as an <br />accessory item and shall provide for conduit entry from all <br />directions without abrasion and cutting of wire and cable <br />insulation. <br />e. A full complement of fittings for the wireway shall be available <br />including, but not limited to, 45° and 90° flat, vertical inside and <br />outside elbows, tee and cross fittings, couplings for joining <br />sections of wireway, reducers, hangers, end blanks, a field <br />installed divider and all other components necessary to make the <br />system workable. <br />f. Include, as necessary, all fittings, adapters, hold down straps, <br />cable cleats, grounding lugs, and other fittings to match and mate <br />with wireways as required for a complete and grounded system. <br />g. Cable tray cover shall be fitted with wing nuts and screws for <br />positive latching. <br />h. Factory ANSI 61 powder painted with corrosion protection <br />undercoating. <br />i. Provide engraved nameplate identifying cable tray contents, <br />electrical specifications, origin, destination, sizes, and number of <br />wires. Place at maximum 20‐foot centers and at each end on all <br />tray systems and whenever a tray enters a room or concealed <br />accessible location. <br /> <br />SECTION 14 – ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
