Item No. 1
PC': 2-5-81
S -81-3/Z-81-14
Page 4
3. Fire Hydrants: Hydrants installed shall conform to the standard
American Water Works Assn. They shall have 2'k" outlets, 4h" pumper
outlet and a 6" street main connection, properly valved. A
gate valve shall be provided between Hydrant and street mains.
Hydrants shall be of a design that if the hydrant is broken off,
the hydrant will remain closed.
4. Hydrant Spacing: Hydrants shall not be distributed more than 300'
apart or no more than 200' from the buildings to be protected.
5. Electric Power Supply: The electrical power supply for each pump
shall be provided in duplicate or a reliable standby source of
power be provided.
6. Engineering Plans: An Engineered plan showing mains, valves and
the hydrants shall be submitted to this office for approval prior
to installation of the system.
7. Due to the lack of access behind each unit, a fire department
connection shall be provided to allow hose line protection to the
rear of the units. Connections to be located at each hydrant for
pumping to standpipe.
B. Small cul-de-sacs make it very difficult if not impossible to
turn heavy fire apparatus in order to perform emergency operations.
Cul-de-sacs must have a 40' radius to allow the movement of fire
apparatus.
- Woodbrige Irrigation District
- Woodbridge Sanitary District
- Corps of Engineers
- San Joaquin Delta College
- State Reclamation Board - The Reclamation Board has reviewed applica-
tion No. 13105, to construct a 54 inch diameter storm drain through
Mokelumne River near Woodbridge.
Since there will be some environmental impact connected with this
proposal, appropriate environmental documentation must be prepared
by the lead agency. Your agency qualifies as a lead agency in this case,
and appears to be the most appropriate organization to prepare the
environmental documentation.
If your agency concludes that either an environmental impact report or
negative declaration is required for the project, please let us know
the categorical exemption class.
We will take final action on this application as soon as you furnish
us evidence of compliance with the California Environmental Quality
Act of 1970, and a copy of your formal actions on this proposal.
Please advise us of your general intentions in this matter within 20
days of receipt of this letter; otherwise, we will assume you have
accepted the role as the lead agency. When contacting this office
please make reference to the application number. Our telephone number
is (916) 445-9225.
