registered hazardous waste transporter within 144 hours of the end of the program to an <br />authorized and appropriate hazardous waste storage, treatment, or disposal facility. <br />The agency sponsor is considered to be the generator of all wastes received at this <br />collection program. The granting of this variance does not relieve the agency sponsor of any <br />responsibilities associated with hazardous waste generation or any liability associated with the <br />management of the waste. <br />► All operations shall be conducted to minimize potential harm to operators, members of <br />the public, transporters, and the environment. <br />► All waste received shall be handled in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, <br />and local laws and regulations. <br />► The program shall be conducted as described in the application packet submitted to <br />this Department, and in accordance with the procedures and conditions contained in <br />this variance determination. <br />► This Department shall be notified immediately upon discovery of any situation not <br />addressed in the aforementioned documents. <br />► Personnel from the Department shall be allowed to enter all areas of the waste <br />collection site, including segregation, packaging and handling areas, for monitoring <br />and inspection. <br />This variance may be amended or revoked by the Department at any time. <br />This variance applies only to the hazardous waste facility permitting requirements of <br />Health and Safety Code, Section 25201 and Division 4.5, Chapter 20, Title 22, CCR. <br />
