All personnel inside the identified hazardous section will wear tyvek <br />suits or approved coveralls, safety glasses with fixed sideshields, safety toe <br />boots or footwear, and appropriate respirator, when required. Rubber or nitrile <br />gloves will be worn (latex lab gloves are acceptable for inventory purposes). <br />Personnel consolidating flammable liquids (Solvents, Oil -base paint, <br />Paint related material) or in a ten (10) foot radius of this operation, will wear <br />splash goggles or splash shield and a half face negative pressure respirator <br />equipped with organic vapor cartridges or a full face negative pressure <br />respirator with the same cartridges or equivalent. <br />Situations such as implementation of secondary containment for open <br />containers or spill clean ups will be evaluated to determine the poper level _of <br />PPE. If determined necessary, Level C PPE will be used. <br />4. Additional PPE in case of accidents: <br />Designated, qualified personnel will be responsible for emergency spill <br />clean up which require an air source. Modified Level B will consist of: Steel <br />toed boots, tyvek suit, chemical resistant gloves and SCBA. <br />F. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: <br />Employee training to be in compliance with 29 CFR 1910.120 , WAC <br />296-62-3040 and 66264.16, Title 22, California Code of Regulations. <br />All involved company and subcontractor employees have a minimum of <br />forty (40) hours off-site hazardous waste operations training. Additionally, <br />they will meet the training requirements of 49CFR 172.700. All employees <br />will have written certification of their training and experience on site. <br />If a company or subcontractor employee's work experience and/or <br />training has resulted in initial training equivalent to that required in the above <br />paragraph, submission of written documentation of that experience and/or <br />training and its acceptance by the Corporate Safety and Health Manager will <br />satisfy this portion of the training requirements. <br />Subcontractors are required to follow all safe work practices outlined <br />in PHILIP ENVIRONMENTAL's Health, Safety and Risk Management <br />Manual which will be reviewed by the Project Manager during training. They <br />will also follow any safe work practices outlined by the Project Manager or <br />Site Safety and Health Supervisor (s) during Site -Specific Safety and Health <br />IV -7 <br />
