The available water capacity is moderate and it has a high shrink-swell potential and the low strength in the claypan are important factors if the soil is to be subjected to home development. Generally the soil is used for livestock grazing or for irrigated pasture, irrigated row field and vineyard crops. The main use limitations are the complex slopes and depths to the slowly permeable hardpan. This soil should be considered in plans for enhancement of wildlife habitat or land use conversion. Groundwater Elevation The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation Map entitled"Lines Of Equal Depth To Water Wells", dated Spring 1998, shows the water table to be in excess of ninety(90) feet below the ground surface. Septic System Analysis: Existing San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department records of septic system permits in the immediate area of the subject property as well as the area in the immediate vicinity of the subject property were reviewed. Only two (2) permits were found to review. One permit was for the subject property and was listed under the repair/addition category and the other was for property addressed at 11353 East Locke Road and was for adding to an already existing system The permit for the subject property was for installing four(4), 48 inch diameter pits, 25 feet deep at the location of the existing septic tank and leach field location shown on the "Site Plan". This installation supplemented a previous permit no. 69-661, dated 08/04/69 which was listed on the repair/addition permit.
