An oiler of one gallon capacity with 240 volt solenoid shall be suDolied . The oil reservoir shall be cast aluminum or brass with glass body. 5. COLU%IN ASSE:FIBLY The column assembly shall consist of 6" pipe, 2" oil tubing and 1 3/16" shaf tinF;. The outer steel pipe shell have a wall thickness of .230" and a weight of 13.93 lbs per foot. The sections shall be tresded to meintain me-)er alicnment. The steel s,.•aft enclosin?; tube shall be of schedule 30 pipe in 5' lengths . Each section s''_P--11 be faced square and threaded intepnally to acted the bronzeklineshaft bearing which also act as tube connectors . The enclosing tube shall be stabilized in the column pipe with steel rein=Yoced rubber stabilizers . One stabilizer shall be supplied fo • each 50 ' of column or fraction thereof. Shaft bearin--s shall have a lip on the upper surface to trap any foreign materials and keep them from scoring the shaft. These bearings must also contain oil grooves to readily allow oil to flow through the bearings . 6. Pump B O'.rLS The pump bowls will consist of 7 stage turbine bowl assembly of a diameter of no greater than 9 3/8" . The pump bowls shall be of Class 30 cast iron with guide passages coated with vitreous enamel . The impeller shall be of bronze ASTM 862-52 , enclosed type, statically and dynamically balanced . They shall be securely held to the pump shaft with taper lock bushings . Enclosed impellers shall be equipped with an aluminum bronze ts'eQl ring. Each bowl stage shall have dual bronze and rubber bowl bearings . The pump shaft material shall be of 416 stainless steel. 7. SUCTION PIPE 10 ' of suction pipe shall be provided of the same material and size as the column pipe. 8. SUCTION STAINER A suction strainer of the same size as the suction pipe shall be provided . It shall be galvanized steel, cone type with a minimum free area of four times the size of the pipe cross section. A drawdown gauge and 200 ' galvanized airline shall also be furnished . 9. SUB"JIITTALS The successful bidder shall submit 8 copies each of dimension prints , performance curves showing head-capacity, pump efficiency, and bralxe horsepower; the the pump manufacturer 's published single stage book performance curves which show compliance with these specifications .
