CAD 990 794 133 Modification 0 facility property boundary, the owner or operator must institute a corrective action program under 40 CFR 264.100; or (iv) In all other cases, the owner or operator must institute a detection monitoring program under 40 CFR 264.98 and Permit Condition III.1 through III.10. (b) The Owner/Operator shall install and maintain a ground water monitoring system as specified in Permit Condition III. 1-10 and as described below for each of the applicable ground water programs described in Permit Condition III. 1(a) . (40 CFR 264.97] (i) Monitoring well -12 must continue to repre- sent background ground water. For every sam- pling event, water quality in -12 must be compared to previous sampling events. (ii) If any well on the facility being monitored for any reason shows a detectable concentra- tion of a hazardous constituent as listed in 40 CFR 264 Appendix IX, the Director shall be notified within 75 days of the sampling event. (iii) Wells denoted -1, -2 , -3, MW-10, MW- 13, MW-14, and -15 or wells which replace them as described in Permit Condition III.1(e) shall be considered downgradient wells at the point of compliance. (c) The Owner/Operator shall maintain ground-water monitoring wells at the -locations specified on the map in Permit Attachment 2 and in conformance with the following list: MW-1, MW-2A, MW-3, -5 , -10, -12, MW-13 , MW-14, MW-15. (d) The Owner/Operator shall maintain the monitoring wells identified in Permit Condition III.1. (b) (i) in accordance with the detailed plans and specifications presented in Permit Attachment 3. (e) Wells shall be deleted and replaced when they no longer provide representative samples of the ground water they are designed to monitor. All wells deleted from the monitoring program shall be plugged and abandoned in accordance with Permit Attachment 4. Well plugging and abandonment 16
