CAD 990 794 133 Modification 0 <br /> facility property boundary, the owner or <br /> operator must institute a corrective action <br /> program under 40 CFR 264.100; or <br /> (iv) In all other cases, the owner or operator <br /> must institute a detection monitoring program <br /> under 40 CFR 264.98 and Permit Condition <br /> III.1 through III.10. <br /> (b) The Owner/Operator shall install and maintain a <br /> ground water monitoring system as specified in <br /> Permit Condition III. 1-10 and as described below <br /> for each of the applicable ground water programs <br /> described in Permit Condition III. 1(a) . (40 CFR <br /> 264.97] <br /> (i) Monitoring well -12 must continue to repre- <br /> sent background ground water. For every sam- <br /> pling event, water quality in -12 must be <br /> compared to previous sampling events. <br /> (ii) If any well on the facility being monitored <br /> for any reason shows a detectable concentra- <br /> tion of a hazardous constituent as listed in <br /> 40 CFR 264 Appendix IX, the Director shall be <br /> notified within 75 days of the sampling <br /> event. <br /> (iii) Wells denoted -1, -2 , -3, MW-10, MW- <br /> 13, MW-14, and -15 or wells which replace <br /> them as described in Permit Condition <br /> III.1(e) shall be considered downgradient <br /> wells at the point of compliance. <br /> (c) The Owner/Operator shall maintain ground-water <br /> monitoring wells at the -locations specified on the <br /> map in Permit Attachment 2 and in conformance with <br /> the following list: <br /> MW-1, MW-2A, MW-3, -5 , -10, -12, MW-13 , <br /> MW-14, MW-15. <br /> (d) The Owner/Operator shall maintain the monitoring <br /> wells identified in Permit Condition III.1. (b) (i) <br /> in accordance with the detailed plans and <br /> specifications presented in Permit Attachment 3. <br /> (e) Wells shall be deleted and replaced when they no <br /> longer provide representative samples of the <br /> ground water they are designed to monitor. All <br /> wells deleted from the monitoring program shall be <br /> plugged and abandoned in accordance with Permit <br /> Attachment 4. Well plugging and abandonment <br /> 16 <br />
