7.0 GOVERNMENT AGENCY RESEARCH
7.1 EPA Databases
The California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manages contaminated
sites through two sub -agencies: the State Water Resources Control Board
(SWRCB) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). The
SWRCB's GeoTracker database includes underground storage tank (UST) sites,
leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites, cleanup program sites, and land
disposal sites. The database can be searched by reviewing two lists, the
Permitted Underground Storage Tank (UST) Sites list and the Cleanup Sites list.
DTSC's EnviroStor database includes Federal Superfund sites, State response
sites, voluntary cleanup sites, school cleanup sites, corrective action sites, and
permitted hazardous waste facilities.
Live Oak searched both databases on March 15, 2022 for any listed sites within
one-quarter mile of the Site. The subject Site was not listed on either database.
One listed facility was identified within one-quarter mile:
• Chevron Catellus, W. Byron Rd., located 800 feet east of the Site,
GeoTracker Cleanup Sites list. According to GeoTracker, this case has
been closed; although some contamination remains present. Owners of
nearby properties that have been impacted by this facility, as well as
those within 200 feet of the contamination, were notified in 2011. The
subject Site is not listed among the affected properties. The inferred
ground -water flow direction is depicted to the northeast, away from the
subject Site. Further history of this Site is discussed below.
7.2 Environmental Health Department Databases
Live Oak reviewed the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department's
Site Mitigation, LOP, Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste Generators,
Underground Storage Tanks, Aboveground Storage Tanks, and Complaints
databases, dated February 2022, for facilities of concern within one-quarter mile
of the Site. The Site address was not included on the databases. Three listed
facilities were identified within the search radius:
• T Mobile West, 16171 W. Grant Line, location unclear, Hazardous
Materials database. Live Oak reviewed records on file at the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department for this facility. An inspection
report from 2005 showed a recordkeeping violation that was corrected on
site. A second form showed that two chemicals were stored on-site in
2019. No other information was available. Based on the record reviewed,
no evidence of an impact to the subject Site from this facility was
identified.
LOGE 2214 6
