ddfth <br /> SUBJECT: ENVIRON ITNT OF CARE- Emergency Operations Plan PAGE 9 OF 14 <br /> 2) Operations Chief(OPS): conducts tactical operations to <br /> carry out the plan, organizes and directs all resources. <br /> 3) Logistics (Logs): Provides support to meet incident needs, <br /> provides resources and all other services needed to <br /> support the incident. <br /> 4) Finance/Administration Monitors costs related to <br /> incident, provide accounting, procurement, time recording, <br /> and cost analyses. <br /> 3. Department Specific Sheets form the core of the plan. They are <br /> developed to coordinate the roles of the various "Hospital" Incident <br /> Command Systems. Standardization of language and meaning is <br /> essential to promote communication and mission achievement both <br /> inside the hospital and with outside entities. <br /> 4. Command supplies are located in the HICS cabinet in the command <br /> center. This includes vests, job action sheets, forms, and laminated <br /> sheets with contact information for outside services. <br /> L. Basic operations are pre-planned and managed in an organized fashion: <br /> 1. Patient activities: <br /> a. Outpatient activities may be deferred to a later time depending <br /> on the resources involved in responding to the disaster. <br /> b. Elective surgeries may be rescheduled as needed. <br /> C. Departmental staff will be assigned to make the necessary <br /> contacts to assure confidentiality and the appropriate <br /> communication. <br /> d. Patient transportation will be provided on an as-needed basis <br /> within the capabilities of the hospital and community resources. <br /> e. Mental health services will be available for all patients, through <br /> local mental health agencies. <br /> f. Hospital may temporarily close to all patients. <br /> 2. Staff activities: <br /> a. Food, sleep space, personal care supplies and medications will <br /> be provided to staff required to work for extended periods. <br /> Transportation needs will be addressed and staff are called to <br /> work by utilizing other staff and all available community <br /> resources. <br /> b. Space will be available for staff psychological support during the <br /> incident. <br /> C. Staff incident stress debriefing will be coordinated by designated <br /> staff following the incident. <br /> 3. Staff-family support activities: An area is provided in close proximity to <br /> the work environment for dependent care and emotional triage for <br /> those with immediate need. <br /> 4. Logistics of critical supplies: <br /> a. Requests for supplies from the units affected by the disaster will <br /> be routed through the incident command center.
