MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -6-
FORWARD INCORPORATED
WASTE MANAGEMENT FACILITY
CLASS II LANDFILLS
CLASS III LANDFILLS
CLASS II SURFACE IMPOUNDMENT
CLASS II LAND TREATMENT UNIT
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
Monitoring Wells:
The following wells will.be monitored for all indicator parameters at the
prescribed frequencies:
Well No. Comments and Depth of Screened Interval Below Ground Surface
MW -1
Downgradient from
WMU "A", 50-70 feet
MW -2
At facility east
boundary,50-70 feet
MW -3
Downgradient from
WMU "A", 50-70 feet
MW -4
AT west boundary of WMU "A", 48.5-68.5 feet
MW -5
Between WMU "D"and the creek, 45-65 feet
MW -6
Upgradient of WMU
"D", 45-65 feet
MW -7
Adjacent to MW -8,
45-65 feet
MW -8
Upgradient of WMU
"B", 85-95 feet
MW -9
Adjacent to MW -4,
99-109 feet
MW -10
Downgradient from
WMU "A", 98-108 feet
MW -11
Downgradient from
WMU "E", 50-70 feet
MW -12
Upgradient of WMU
"E", 50-70 feet
These wells will also be used to measure ground water elevations on a monthly
basis for the first year and quarterly thereafter. From these measurements,
hydraulic gradients and ground water flow velocities will be calculated and
submitted to the Regional Board. Ground water elevation data will be submitted
to the Board as ground water elevation contour maps. The wells of this
monitoring network shall constitute the "points of compliance" with respect to
ground water. The locations of these wells are shown on Attachment E. Samples
from all monitoring wells shall be analyzed for ground water indicator
parameters. MW -7 and MW -9 shall be monitored for four quarters and then may be
dropped from the monitoring program.
Ground Water Indicator Parameters:
The following chemical constituents will be used as ground water indicator
parameters and will be measured when sampling ground water:
.Report in Samoling
Parameter/Constituent Units of Frequency
Specific Conductance
pH
Chlorides
Dissolved Iron
COD
Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen
umhos/cm
pH Units
mg/l
mg/l
mg/l
mg/l
Quarterly
Quarterly
Quarterly
Quarterly
Quarterly
Quarterly
