Forward Landfill WMU FU-23 <br />02778 6 HDPE GEOMEMBRANE <br />2.1 GEOMEMBRANE LABELING <br />A. Provide the following information of geomembrane roll labels. 1. Length, width, and weight. 2. Name of manufacturer and fabricator. 3. Directions for unrolling. 4. Product identification; lot number, batch number, and roll number. 2.2 GEOMEMBRANE RESIN <br />A. High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), new, first quality, compounded, and manufactured specifically for producing HDPE geomembrane. <br />B. Do not mix resin types during manufacturing. <br />C. Meeting the following requirements unless otherwise approved: <br /> Test Test Designation Requirements <br /> <br />Specific Gravity1 <br /> <br />ASTM D1505 <br /> <br />≥ 0.932 g/cm3 <br /> <br />1 Measure on pure resin without additives. <br /> 2.3 TEXTURED GEOMEMBRANE <br /> A. Manufacturing and Properties. 1. High Density Polyethylene geomembrane with textured surfaces on both sides (double side) or a smooth surface on one side and a textured surface on the other side (single side). Grid or “waffle” style texturing is not allowed. 2. Do not exceed a combined maximum total of 1 percent by weight of additives other than carbon black or pigment. Identify percentage of processing aids, antioxidants, and other additives other than carbon black. 3. Do not exceed 3.5 percent by weight of finished geomembrane for total combined processing aids, antioxidants, carbon black, and other additives. 4. Use materials produced in the United States or Canada. 5. Provide finished product free from blemishes, holes, pin holes, bubbles, blisters, excessive gels, undispersed resins, and/or carbon black, contamination by foreign matter and nicks or cuts on edges. 6. Roll manufactured sheets or panel for shipment. 7. The Geomembrane Manufacturer shall provide results of tests performed using the procedures listed in the following table, as well as certification that the materials meet or exceed the specified values.
