<br />Managed the Post Collection assets for a $1.2 Billion annual Area Business Unit for a Fortune 400
<br />Company in Richmond, CA. Responsible for eight landfills, twelve transfer stations, five recycling
<br />facilities, three internal landfill gas to energy power plants, three composting operations including food
<br />waste, a leachate treatment plant and a sulfur recovery facility.
<br />Responsibilities included mentoring facilities management teams, lead cross-functional strategic teams in
<br />gathering, analyzing and evaluating operational and financial data. Perform root cause analysis to
<br />facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement, develop staffing profiles and scheduling models,
<br />and develop tools and analytics for Key Performance Measurements (KPMs) to facilitate efficient facility
<br />operations including equipment selection and utilization. Provide analysis to recognize
<br />favorable/unfavorable trends and opportunities to reduce operating costs across the Company. Analyze
<br />monthly, quarterly and year over year cost, margin and volume trends. Make recommendations on
<br />strategies to improve performance. Monitor field performance and give guidance and support to
<br />Operations. Conduct site visits to evaluate best practices and identify opportunity for improvement, and
<br />make recommendations based on findings. Participate and collaborate with cross-functional leadership to
<br />develop and deliver effective training, communication and documentation for operational effectiveness.
<br />Develop and implement Annual and 5-year budget models.
<br />Coordinate with Local and State regulators for safe and compliant operations. Develop and implement
<br />programs and strategies to meet Local, State and Federal mandate’s as they relate to the Solid Waste
<br />Industry and related Legislation. Coordinate Green Programs, CNG Fleet conversions, High BTU
<br />Landfill Gas pipeline injection, Bio-Char and other new and innovative technologies.

<br />Managed a $100 million annual Business Unit for a Fortune 400 Company in Richmond, CA.
<br />Responsible for two landfills, five waste transfer and two recycling facilities, twelve transfer trucks, two
<br />landfill gas to energy power plants, a composting operation including food waste and a leachate treatment
<br />plant.
<br />Managed eighty-five employees servicing the Sonoma County and West Contra Costa County
<br />communities encompassing several million residents. Complete responsibility for sales, marketing,
<br />customer service, operations, budgeting, capital improvements, compliance, permitting and P&L
<br />accountability. Worked directly with City, County and State administrators and regulators, a seven City
<br />JPA, RecycleMore, and numerous Industry organizations in meeting Local, State and Federal Solid
<br />Waste, Recycling and Environmental Goal’s and Mandate’s. Coordinated with Labor Unions on a routine
<br />basis in support of efficient and uninterrupted daily operations.
<br />Detailed responsibilities included; overseeing effective safety and accident prevention programs, ensured
<br />compliance with all standards, policies and procedures, lead change management initiatives to introduce
<br />and sustain new processes that contributed to the growth and durability of the Business Unit.
<br />Privatized a large County Solid Waste Program with minimal interruption to operations and Customers.
<br />Zero accidents over a two-year period, exceeded budget goals by 10%. Recipient of the 2015 Out
<br />Performer Award at the Republic Services National GM Conference in Phoenix, AZ.
