PRE-FIELD At TIVITES <br /> Prior to initiating intrusive fieldwork at the Site, pre-field activities will be completed including <br /> revising the Site Health and Safety Plan, procuring permits and property access approvals, and <br /> conducting a utility survey in the area of the proposed injections. These pre-field activities are <br /> discussed in this section. <br /> 4.1 Health and Safety Plan Addendum <br /> Current field conditions will be reviewed by staff before commencing field activities. The <br /> assessment will include the following items: <br /> • Evaluating health and safety concerns with respect to KMnO4 handling and storage; <br /> • Evaluating existing and previously existing utilities in relation to the proposed injection <br /> points; <br /> • Ensuring safe access and movement within the work area; <br /> • Securing work areas with barricades or temporary fencing, as applicable; <br /> • Determining operational and traffic safety requirements; and <br /> • Assessing general health and safety hazards presented in this scope of work. <br /> After a review of the field conditions has been completed, a Site-specific task hazard analysis <br /> (THA)will be prepared to supplement the existing Site Health and Safety Plan(HASP). The THA <br /> will ensure safe work practices to prepare for and minimize the possible hazards to human health <br /> and to the environment resulting from handling and transporting KmnO4 and performing the <br /> drilling and injection activities. Hazards and controls developed in the HASP addendum will be <br /> communicated with all field personnel and local fire officials prior to executing the scope of work. <br /> Storage of KMnO4 during the treatment process will be done in compliance with applicable rules <br /> and regulations, including the California Fire Code (CCR Title 24, Part 9) and Department of <br /> Homeland Security requirements. <br /> 4.2 Permitting and Access <br /> The injection activities will be completed solely on property owned by Lincoln Properties, Ltd. <br /> (LPL)under the existing access agreement between LPL and the Trust. Geosyntec will notify and <br /> gain approval from LPL regarding the proposed scope of work, work hours, and schedule in <br /> advance of field implementation.To minimize interruption to business activities at the Site during <br /> regular business hours, Geosyntec plans to implement the injections at night during non-business <br /> hours. <br /> The following permits will be procured prior to implementation of the Work Plan: <br /> Former Source Area Injection Work Plan 8 August 08,2019 <br />
